to be SURE, i'd say 3-4 tanks man.. thats a lot. maybe even 5 but i'm not sure.. 68cu 3000psi..8 ppl..
68(tanksizes) x 8(ppl) = 544.... 554 x 3(fill each you said) = 1632 cubic inch all together for them all to be topped off each time. iuno how many cubic inchs scuba tanks are so.. but thats a lot.. and $$$ if your going to buy the tanks..

      hope this helped..

Keep in mind also, that every time you fill a tank, the pressure in the SCUBA will go down, giving a lesser fill every time.

I'd say around 5-6 scubas. You can rent em for maybe 10 bucks a piece if there are any scuba shops around you, but I dunno.... Its 15 at my shop, and 4 at someone elses they posted

If you decide that you will need two scuba tanks to fit your needs, make sure to fill in sequence. Fill your tank from one tank first, and then use the next to top off, and make sure to do it in the same order for every fill. This will mean that, rather than having two tanks both at a low PSI as the night goes on, one scuba will still be low, while the other will be higher, enabling higher fills throughout the night.
