i hate the length of my standard feed mag, whats the best way to cut down the feed tube and in your opinion whats the best length to make it

hmm... get a carbide(or something like that) toothed saw blade and a power saw and cut it down. the best length, hmmmm.... look at the amount of space that you elbow has to attach to it and keep about that much.Black Warp Left E-mag #EM00163
