The mini was designed to be the shortest marker on the market and it is if you use it the way it was intended to be!

A 8 inch barrel and a 9 to 12 ounce CO2 tank directly into the vert ASA. A nice small package.

Put a bottom line and a 12 inch barrel on it and it's the same length as an Automag.

Hm .... maybe it's just me but I thought it was because of the way the barrel looks in the gun. *shrug*

the barrel shroud has nothing to do with a minigun.

it does have the machine pistol look, but not the giant 6 barreled gatling gun look.

because after im done cutting off all the little shroud fronts off of any minimag anyone i know owns... they are smaller than when they started.

So, effectivly liigod, you've taken Mini's (which most people have to pay a premium for) and cut the only thing that seperates them from Automag mainbodys off.

i would suppose it would be because its ment to be smaller but i would think you could do the same with a regular mag with a vertical bottle

as mentioned earlier, the vert asa and the shorter barrels were the hinging factor. When it first came out, it was the only way to get a mag with vert ASA's. Thus shortening the entire gun.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Automag classic is something like 8.5" long, with no barrel. And the minimag is 13.5" long with an 8" barrel. Doesn't this mean that without the shroud and without the barrel the minimag would be 5.5" long?
                          My feedback

Made in USA - it matters.

no paintmagnet it would not be 5.5 inches long because in a mag part of the barrel is in the gun
