Sport Sensors Paintball Hand Held Radar Chron

    Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this product.

Sport Sensors Paintball Hand Held Radar Chron

I'm thinking of picking one up, but I'm worried about its accuracy and reliability. Of course I check ed`pbreview, but I've yet to find anything on there that hasn't received a good review.

Anyone with experience, I'd be very grateful for your input.

    Thanks ~ Dave

We use them at our field. They work very well. + or - 1fps.

At least one Ref carries one at our games at SC Village and they are very nice...

Easy to use and well as read, a kid has called a spot check on me cause it was a little hard on his goggles (newbie who got worried I was shooting hot) but I came off without a hot gun penalty so they must be accurate. And last check I did they are supposed to be within a few fps +/- right?

My friend has one we use when playing outlaw. Works great, pretty affordable. Unfortunately, it clocks only one shot at a time.

i've alway's trusted it's readings .. i luv it, although the cheaper version of it flashes the first number then two numbers ... such as 2 then 75 meaning 275fps .. i'd reccomend it 100% though

I have one, works great, keeps everybody safe.

I've checked it against 2 expensive field chronos, and was always within 2-3 fps, less than 1% error. Interestingly, it was always read slightly faster.

Every version I have seen is like this. Is there a more expensive one I am not familiar with?

Also, I am glad to hear that it reads faster. I'd much rather think I was shooting higher than lower (assuming the difference is not significant).
                  Peace!

Just make sure you put fresh batteries in. Last time I saw one used at a local tourney, the ref on the field was chronographing us at 125 fps with one of those hand-helds! We walked off the field to the radar chrono and were all doing about 280. Whoops.

I have one of these (ok, so its borowing without asking from the field... shouldnt be a problem. i work there)

I find its a little bit more difficult to use then the regular chronos because of the way the numbers scroll from left to right... I always get confused with that "is that 234, or 342?"

All I play with my friends is rec (outlaw), so we always use that chrono every game. We all pitched in to buy it and wasn't very expensive, it works great, just have to be sure someone else holds it so your fingers don't block the radar. It seems to be very accurate, although you have to have it steady or it may give awkward readings. Plus, you have to push the button for each shot, kind of a pain, but not really. I would recommend getting one so you know you're not shooting hot.
                          Christian, and proud of it.

I have heard VERY bad things about the VL/BE barrel chronos. I know I am going out of my way to avoid these bad boys.

The hand held radar chronos are great! I have two. You can hold them in your hand - or hang them off the end of the barrel. I also just recently bought a Radar Chrono and find it better for adjusting (no need to reset)

But bang for the buck and for the occasional user (or outlaw baller who wants to be safe) the Hand Held Radar chrono is great

And for changing batteries in it - there are no batteries to change (not in the 2 I have).

THe VL on barrel chronos - I have heard BAD things about these guys
