    On/Off & Drop forward question

    Hey fellas quick couple of questions for you I have a CP flame drop on my gun with a Kapp on off.

    1. Well I noticed first that the On off moves back in forth on the grooves of the drop is there supposed to be like a set screw or something or what?

    2. Second when under pressure it is very very difficult to turn it off. Is there a tool or something someone has come up with to fit the little grooves? So that turning the tank off is easier.

    Any ideas or thoughts are greatly appreciated.

      1) Look ontop of the CP Flame Drop and see if there is a screw.
      2) Try unscrew the tank a little and then turn the on/off

          Okay I am retarded I just took it all apart and tightened the set screw...... Yeah I know thanks again. But as far as the On/Off still looking for ideas.... Unless I unscrew it far enough to release the pressure the knob will not turn with out me getting a vice grips (exageration). Just looking for ideas you all with this on and off have.

          Paintbattler: Oh and your sig I did that yesterday..... Of course I provided cover fire just in case...

              I have one of those KAPP on/offs as well. I can't help with making it any easier. I think the shape of the knob doesn't help much. Small and angled just doesn't leave much to hold on to.

              It does look nice though...

                      yea, my system x is like that, its pretty worthless, i just unscrew the tank ne ways

                          I believe some company makes an on/off knob with 3 prongs (for lack of a better word) on it so it's easier to turn. However I think an on/off is the biggest waste since it can only go "on" and not "off" due to the pressure from your tank. You could probably try using one of the knobs off of a remote that has a textured surface for better gripping... or any kind of universal fill adapter. I use a CP on/off and it's definitely a pain to unscrew it, so I just unscrew the tank instead.

                              I have the kapp on off, it's a pain to turn on and off. I usually turn it off because it seems that you don't lose as much air when you use the the on/off rather then unsrewing the tank. It's all personal opinion though.

                                  I have the same drop but with a CP on/off and it was real hard to work also. My solution was to oil it and open and close it several times to work the oil into the threads. Works great now but I don't see why the knob has to be so hard to get a grip on. Seems like it should be designed just the opposite. Worth a try anyway.
