well i found yet another good deal on a used emag, my dad might get it. but the guy says that the battery has a problem. with a full charge it only shoots like 200 shots. he also says that AGD will fix it for free if you ship it to them. everything else on the gun is in fine working order. what should i do?

i'm guessing the reason it'll only get 200 shots or what ever is cuz its the old battery that kept a memory adn if you didn't drain it all the way before charging it up again, it wouldn't charge all the way and mess up. thats just waht i'm guessingBlack Warp Left E-mag #EM00163

could be but i thought that all emag batteries were NiMH not NiCAD. that would mean that no emag batteries should have a memory. did they make the early ones nicad? because mine is # 649 and it has nimh. i dont im just rambling....lolLOTS 4 SALE EMAIL ME

Well I am not convinced about NiMH not developing a short term memory. I espoused some theories on it in another post http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...threadid=41086 detailing my experiences. My first suggestion would be to try and bring the battery down to less than 2 volts, I just leave my gun on for several days to do this, then try to recharge it using a slow cycle as vs. fast cycle. If that does not work then send it back.

I've heard that over time the nimh will develop memory, but not nearly as quick as nicd. The only ones that don't develop the memory is the lithium ones. The battery may be replaced for free but I'd also check the online store to see how much one costs.I like potatoes
