Uhhhh, what I remember from the chem says to neutralize it with a base and then pour it down the drain with 20-1 parts water/solution ratio. But I would check with local hazmat guys at your dump or something. You could even contact a chem teacher - they might even take it off your hands. Please just be careful and don't take me for somebody who actually knows what they're doing.

you neutralise the sulfiric acid by using caustic soude (I hope it's the correct name in english). In general the second product is used to clean the parts before the anodisation.

You nuetralize acids with bases and bases with acids. Its like..your stomach is full of sulfuric acid, if you get heartburn (too much acid) you eat sodiumbicarbonate (chalk) tums.. flavored of course, but household chalk would work wouldn't taste well. Also...notice when you take vinegar and pour it on baking soda..it fizzes.. all thats left is saltwater.
In this case you would need to add a base.. I know bleach is a very strong base..about as strong as sulfuric acid so they may cancel each other out.Also..a biproduct of this would be lots of bubbles, salt and water. Your best bet would be talk to a chemistry teacher at your local highschool. Like one said the chem teacher may actually take it as a donation as long as its not contaminated (i.e. not mixed a mild base)

EDIT- I found this searching "nuetralizing acids" on the web.. Baking Soda: Baking soda and baking soda solutions are used for nuetralizing acid spills. Baking soda solutions can be found at each sink in the lab, in addition, solid baking soda can be found at the safety sink.

I don't think you want to use bleach. The pH of the neutralizing agent is immaterial, you just need to use enough of whatever you're using. A reaction between a strong acid and a strong base is not one that I'd like to engage in at home. Be absolutely certain that whatever you choose to do is safe. I am not joking at all. If you're asking these questions, I really think you might want to consider seeking help from disposal professionals. Chemical burns are NOT FUN. Acids and bases are toxic as well as corrosive, they produce fumes and can be explosive. Please tell me your acid is low molarity? If it's anything serious, please don't try to dispose of it yourself. I don't want anybody getting hurt, when all you might neeed to do is drive it to the dump on hazmat day.

ok first off, do not mix bleach and sulfuric acid, that creates chlorene gas. not good. use baking soda, or better yet, save your solution. it does not weeken and you can use it for future annodizations.

I think muriatic acid is used for swimming pools. Also is used to make acid bombs (tho I wouldn't know how to make one of those... )

the muriatic acid is what you clean it with right before you put it into the acid bath, it is nasty stuff as it is hydrochloric acid, and you olny need to put it in fer like a second! then you hook everything up and put your piece into the acid bath. Home annodizing is fun ad i think everyoen should learn how to do it. also, even tho their acids they are not gunna eat through your shin and melt your hand off, still use precauistion but id it gets on you dont worry, also always remember, pour acid into water, not water into acid, it wall cause excessive boiling and cause a burn if your not careful....or is it the other way arround? serriously i forget! its in the directions, i got everything mixed up ne ways i got no reason to worry

also! make sure you have really good contact, if your doing something like an e-mag body rail, it is good to use an aluminum sight rail screwand conect your aluminum wire to that, and put the screw through one of the holes, also the warpig instructions are crap, use the others that have been posted
