There's so many old, beat up PGP's floating around that they don't pull in that much. Keep in mind that they cost around $100-120 brand new, with all the modern updates that make it easier to play with.Originally posted by CRog075
That dont sound right, mayb a diff version of the gun.
That one might be worth something to a collector, just because of the age. I'd guess you might be able to get $50 or so for it, if it works OK. Maybe a little more if it's upgraded at all (by a professional shop, that is; "garage mods" were very common back then, and usually lower the value a bit).Everybody else seems to have a picture of their 'Mag in their sig, so what the heck; here's mine:

first off, thank you all for the mention. :)
that is a PGP. looks like in fair condition.
has front and rear sights. brown grips... original. knurled metal pump. age is around 1986-1989. however, it doesn't have the ball bearings. knock that down to 1984-1986. i would lean more towards 86 if not 85.
not bad at all. you have a nice one.
if you sold it as is on ebay, you could get $50-$80 out of it. though, some of the hard core PGP'ers will buy it for $40-$50. they figure that there are plenty around. i sold two of mine on ebay for $60 & $70. about the same age and with custom wood grip panels.
there does seem to be missing an end cap for the ball magazine (top tube). is it missing? if missing, you have two options. actually, three.
1) get a piece of aluminum. about 2" long. drill and tap for a set screw to secure the tube to the marker. you may need to make an insert to secure a 10rnd tube in place. it would look like the pic below.
2) find a replacement end cap. i may have one. not sure.
3) contact Marshal Founder from the paintball marshals. he has a nice design for a "speed loader" it is similar to what i have on my KP3. stick the tube in, point the marker down, push lever. no worries about loosing endcaps.
hope that helped some.
OT: my newest acquisition... bolt action K2. :)
Markers: 4 PGP's, Phantom, BE 1st Gen. Nightmare, 5 Spyders, EM1, K2, KP3

SC Otter is correct on his estimations of worth. $50-$80 would be a good price frome someone on ebay. Not horribly valuable - but nice.
Id take it off your hands - as I collect old guns - but Im broke right now...

If you've ever played Paintball Dave's (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) indoor, all you can use is PGP's. Some of them are near that vintage with the knurled hand grips.Originally posted by OtterSC

As for the options of replacing the end cap. Most people replace them with speed loaders, which you might want to do. Additionally, people who do replace them often tend to keep their old caps. So you might be able to get one off of them.
For some other random info on PGP's check here.
And finally for some more intensive upgrades like a rear velocity adjuster, etc. - check here.

The "shotgun looking thing" is an old KP series sheridan marker. The p-68, pgp, and kp's all looked pretty much the same for the bottom 2 tubes, with the top tube being different dependong on configuration (ie rock and cock or straight feed).Originally posted by BTAutoMag
wow that shotgun looking thing is a pgp!!!!!! what did you do to it
Palmer may still put out Hurricanes which were semi auto'd versions of the kp series. A little stiff on the pull, but man they shot nice.minimag #1321
