AGD Pride takes 1st place at CPSA Tourny! (Lots of Pics)
Out of 14 teams that played in the Amauter division, Team AGD Pride took 1st place! 
It was probably the hottest day of the year, with the heat index at 110 deg by mid-afternoon, but it was still a great day to go ballin'.
In the Prelims, the teams that we played were Opposing Force, Bad to the Bone, Picasso's Riot, Groundfire, and Psycho Circus. We won the first 4 games ad dropped the last one to Circus.
In the finals, from 1st - 4th, were BAM, Psycho Circus, DV8, and AGD Pride.
Our first game was against BAM and needless to say we dropped that one hard. BAM scored a perfect Max against us with 100pts and it looked grim for the rest of the finals. However, BAM later went on to lose to DV8 which began to open the door for us to move up in the rankings.
Our second game was against Psycho Circus and unlike our first meeting in the pre-lims, we played a great game and maxed 'em. After this, BAM lost again to Circus and this put us in control of our own destiny. If we win the next game versus DV8, we go home with 1st place!
Our final game versus DV8 was great. Both teams needed to win in order to get 1st. DV8 made some great moves and bunkered Skirts out of the snake. Allen & I managed to play tight and keep their attention while Todd went on a rampage and shot out 3 of their players. We got the pull and the hang and most importantly, 1st Place!
This was probably one of our best tournaments that we've ever played as a team. Our communication was excellent, we executed extremely well, and we did what we had to do in order to win the tournament.
I want to say thanks to Troy of Diablo for giving us a ride down to the field and for letting us ride his scooter after the tournament
and to all the folks that came out to cheer us on.
All in all, although it was brutally hot, it was still a great days worth of paintball.
