    What tank would you get?

Now that AGD is no longer making the 3000# flatline tanks (correct me if I'm wrong), do you think I should try to find one of the few of them left and get one, or should I buy one of the new 4500#'s that came out not too long ago? I have a scuba tank setup that's for 3000#. Would it be a waste to get one of the 4500#s? If I do get a 4500# flatline, could I still use my existing fill station to fill the tank or would I have to get a special adaptor (I think I remember reading something a while ago of how 4500# tanks' fill nipples won't fit the fill stations male output?) Thanks.

4500 tanks work just fine with 3000 psi fill stations.

Frankly, if you're buying an adjustable system, and you are considering any 3K system other than a Max-Flo, you are wasting your money, and the Max-Flo is only worth considering because it can be filled with CO2 in a pinch (2K2 68/3K systems only). The 4500 systems have a much higher resale value (roughly double), can be filled to 3k or 4500 and generally have more features.

Mycroft, thanks for the input, but why do you so highly recommend max-flo's over every other tank besides the reason that it can be filled with CO2? That feature isn't all that important to me however, because I would be running the system on a RT. Also, what other features are included "generally" on 4500# tanks that aren't added onto 3000# ones? Coaster, the price of the system isn't going to affect me much at all. I can also readily get 4500 fills, however, I want to be able to fill my tank with my current scuba setup.

cwuchu, go with the with the 4.5k, wether it be the maxflo or the flatline. www.modifiedpaintball.com is a good site, i believe they have the flatline4.5k's there.

4500 is the way to go because it will last longer for you and you can fill it as high as you can get it at home but if you go to a field they can fill to 45

Thanks for your help everyone, I just ordered a 4500# flatline from Don at MPP. I got a pretty good deal on it too. MPP has excellent service - one of the best, if not the best in this game. Anyone looking to buy a flatline should check it out, you won't regret it.
