Are we going to see the Superbolt again

I was just wondering if that was still on the production table. I really liked the bolt when it actually worked.... . Does anyone know?

The delrin bolt? probably not..the Superbolt II that comes with Level 10 is only slightly heavier without all the nasty side effects of using Delrin..but you never know...Tom may be trying to make up some super tough Delrin in the lab or something...just give it/him time...

      Why?

Buy LVL 10 and you have a setup that doesn't break/chop paint and a bolt that produces no recoil. The amount of extra weight in the SS SB II is insignificant.

The delrin superbolt for LVL 7 config is "old technology" and completely discontinued.

Yeah I know that it may be somewhat old technology but wouldn't the Delrin material reduce the recoil of the level 10 even further, without the need of increase your input pressure. Which is what you pretty much do when you screw in the velocity. Just a thought...

If you look at the new Superbolt that is all stainless, you'll see they milled out the excess material from the inside instead of the outside like with the original nylon sleeved superbolt. There isn't any room on the new bolt to mill it down and put on a delrin sleeve.

The Superbolt II is only 8% more weight. This is insignificant with respect to the performance difference.

Also, the weight of the bolt and material it's composed of doesn't relate to the operating pressure of the gun when the LVL 7 SB was nearly the same weight. The reason for the increased operating pressure is the longer main spring which produces more pre-load and the smaller surface area of the first stage of the SB II.
