Where can I get this tank and at a good price. I can't find them anywhere online. I orginally wanted the 68 3000 but have been told they won't be made or getting more in stock by everybody. Is this true?
Where are the flatline 68 4500's ?

Nooo they are not ALL in pieces at AGD Some of the peices are there like the reg but no tanks. Shrotage of tanks is the problem. At least from my scources. The 4500psi 68 and 88 cubic inch tanks are hard to get and they are awaiting a shippment so they can build them up. Seems they are all backordered from the tank manufacturer. You know there are only a few companies that actually make the tanks don't you? And then even further some companies stamp their names on them like Nitroduck as so forth. Carelton is one of them and there are like two others is all. Luxfor is another one.
So we sit and wait for them to get enough to AGD to build some more. When they do get them they sell out fast as they are commonly backordered and when those are filled the rest are bought up in speculation of the next dry spell.
Seems they have made no effort to make up anymore 68/3000's. I do not think they even have any ordered. I don't knwo what the situation is on the regs for them either. I think discontinuing them would be a mistake as they are the perfect tank for us SCUBA dependent users. I mean why pay more for a 4500 when you cannot ever use it? And if you cannot get a 68 or larger 4500 anyway then a 45/4500 is not an acceptable alternative if only filled to 3000 psi. I think they should make some 68/3000's in smaller numbers if they can for a while. They are like $100 cheaper and fill a void. I would buy one. I use two of them now and find them very satisfactory for my needs.

I agree 100% with cphilip. I wanted the 3000#/68 ci before, but they discontinued it so I have a 4500#/68 ci flatline on order. It's over a hundred dollars more than I would have paid for the 3000#, but I figure now, why not get the higher pressure? There are places around me that do 4500# fills so I didn't see any reason not to go with that tank since I would be getting a reasonable amount of more shots per fill. Plus I could also fill it using my scuba.

what i meant when i said they're in pieces is that they haven't made any for unspecified reasons..and that's why they're backordered...
