Is there a big reason for the thickness of mags' body rails? If I were to "mill" off some of the dead weight with a dremel, I wouldnt be getting myself into too much trouble, would I? (Besides artistically )

The tolerances of the rail are quite tight. It provides the proper clearances between the body and the grip frame. As long as you dont touch the top or the bottom (where the grip frame sits) you should be fine.

i heard that TK was able to drop 1 lb. when he designed the RT Pro. Must have been mostly in the rail, cuz they're huge.
