Use a dental pick, or get a paper clip and bend a small hook on the end to catch the back of the carrier

p nubbins work well too, if you have any spare. Just bend it a bit into a hook.

I tried the allen wrench and it wouldn;t move either. All it did with that is scratch the carrier. What i use is the arm od thoose really strong black paperclips. The problem with the allen wrench is that the short part is too long to get the right angle. If you bend a normal paperclip, maybe one of the larger sizes it will work good.

You need a pick. Like a o-ring pick or as was mentioned a dental pick to get on the ther side of it and then wiggle it. Or push it back in witha puch or ball point pen end real hard and try again. It's just stuck in one of the threads inside the Power Tube.

AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!

... Use the tip of a plastic pen. One that fits into the carrier.

Press down on it and once stuck, simply pull it out.

That's the method I found to be best, for me at least.
