    Just finished my Intellifeed

Just got my intelliframe a week ago and I decided to wire it up today. I really wanted to have the hopper independant and wire free so I threw a 1/8" headphone jack in. I'm sure it has been done before but I thought that it came out really nicely.

I must say - if you're considering modding your intelliframe, go for it! Its too cool! (Thanks to Angry Man for helping me out with the wiring today.)

Hey. I was able to do the same thing as you, installing a jack, but it took me FOREVOR to find a spot to fit the jack! It seems you and me chose the exact same location though (mostly because it's the only one )

hmm... you should get a 90* headphone jack to go with it, make it a bit more compact.

hmmm...maybe I should use superglue. The jack just got pushed far back into the revvy...so now i have to take it apart and remount it!

I did the same thing in the same spot (its the only good spot to put it in btw), but I used 3/32" Submini stereo phone jacks, or rad shack 274-245.

You get 2 to a pack and are smaller meaning smaller plugs as well. Plus, they have are threaded around the input with a nut. I drilled my hole out of my hopper and removed a slight amount of material from the backside of the hole so that the input would sit further outside the hole. That gave me enough room to slip on the retaining nut and aplly a decent amount of clamping force. Its not going to fall into the hopper anytime soon.

You could also use an abs solvent to join the jack to the hopper insides as well as superglue. The solvent should desolve and join the plastics together.

thanks - this is exactly what I just did. I used the super glue.
