Level Ten Shims Advantages Disadvantages

what would the advantages or disadvantages of having less or more than 2 shims installed in your level ten?

I have no shims in my mag. It resets everytime it stops on a ball, or finger.

If you gun locks up, add shims, if it leaks, take em out (unless the carrier is too big).

Its not an "advantage/disadvatage" thing, like "Whats the advantage of shooting at 300fps compared to 250fps", its a adjustment/tuning thing.

The shims adjust the point at which the bolt starts to vent in the event that it enounters a blockage that refuses to chamber. The more shims added, the earlier it vents.

If it doesn't vent, then the bolt will not stop it's forward movement and reset, this will increase the likelyhood that it will chop paint.
