good and i though all you were good for is a laugh.... hey darkstorm i take it you play alot of scenario games. are you like really into the whole camo and tippmans with cr stocks flatlines, and PT extremes? or are you just an average player... cause i would like to play a scenario game but i dont wanna be stuck with a bunch of typical sterotype scenario game players...Last edited by HoppysMag; 08-21-2002, 06:46 PM."You have not converted a man because you have silenced him." -John Morley

Ok, lemme chime on this one, because I love scenario games, but I love speedball, and woods, and well you get the idea.
As far as the stereotype scenario player, I am not sure that there is one. I do not wear camo when I play, I wear the same pants I play speedball in, and my teams jersey. There are some people that wear camo, but I would say that its only about half or so in the games that I have played in, to be true you should only wear camo if it is a military scenario, otherwise you dress appropriately for the scenario.
Darkstorm brought out some very good points, for me his first one is the most important. These games last a minimum of 8 and sometimes as long as 48 hours. It is very easy to forget when you have been standing in mosquito laden water for an hour that you are trying to have some fun. People get tired, tempers flare, stuff happens, be the stand up guy and shrug it off, because the other guy probably won't. If it gets to be too much then take a break, the game will be there when you are ready to go back in.
I do not think that I need to add much to Darkstorms list except maybe an extra pair of shoes in case they get wet, otherwise its pretty complete, but remember if you are going to camp then there is a whole other list to bring.
Oh yeah, don't forget your paintball gun, that is unless you want to be a medic and not carry one, but if you want to be cannon fodder then that is your own business...
Remember these are just my opinions, I could be wrong. That which does not kill us, cripples us for life.

Thanks,
I play for fun and (actually) the exercise. I got started playing a year ago but the Texas Rangers have taught me a lot, the good things. The team is big on safety.
I am not the camo type either; I dress LOUD, like REALLY LOUD. What fun is there in camo, besides at 6'8" it is sort of hard to hide any ways. So, am I the serious scenario player, maybe or maybe not? For example, theposts were for fun and to help "case" the competition, but also it is an ice breaker with a bunch of people I'll meet for the first time in Chicago.
I'll be at the field Friday morning, hope to meet everyone.
BTW....Tip #16....Get a carrying strap for your gun, you will have a lot more fun if you don't have to carry your gun all day.

15) A watchful eye for new players, remember there will be a bunch of new player (no need to bunker a newbie).
I think I like this one the best. LOL
