Retro Valve Worth it?

Hi, I have a 68 Automag and i was thinking about trading in my bolt to agd and purchising a retro valve/bolt and I was wondering, is it worth the money, I know it shoots faster but is that it, does it get greater distance or anything? thanx for any info
