AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I write for APG and PGI, and I must say, PGI is the better. They provide you with more timely information in a no-nonsence approach, and better yet, you dont get the "electros are for no skilled people" in thier lil readers section.
Former stickballmovies guy (They're on youtube now). Now a full-time slumlord in Central Ohio.
I like it the best because of all the other PB magazines I've read, it's got the best articles. My personal fav. is the one where they show the Warp Feed.
The only magazine that I've actually bought was Paintbal Magazine. I didn't really like it because the articles were really short, and in some cases, pointless.
I put down APG, I used to be a subscriber, and have been reading a little of a newer one a friend has. I also read Paintball 2xtremes(its awful, but 888 gives them away free...) and I used to read crossfire(Got a free trial like 4 month subscribtion with my old crossfire tank, also a bad magaziene!). APG is the best Ive read so far, and its not that great but you know! Ive read Paintball Magaziene, and it was ok. It seems most magiziens have mostly newbie related articles. I mostly like the ads! Altho I loved reading the reveiw on the Palmer Blazer in APG recently, because Im wanting that to be my next backup gun! That article probably sold me on it. Well AGD should make their own magaziene! Called AO Weekly! And it has many interveiws with all the AGD people, and an article with a select AO member each week! And you show again and again stuff about mags! Id buy it! Yep...AO Weekly! And Id be the dashing toeheaded young journalist. Tom! You could call me Skoop! SKOOP! And I could write about me playing, and the stuff I want, and how I like stuff! And I would show the world what mags are made of because they would name me People Magaziene's Most Great Guy Of The Year! And Id win an Oscar...somehow... Yep. So when are we starting AO Weekly(Dont blame me, its 2:44 in the morning! And Im usually crazy anywayz)? If you want to read my writing abilities, just go to the link on my signature! Im know as Namdlo on there, and do the graphics and HTML and stuff. So yeah, AO Weekly is now a hit. WHO WANTS AO WEEKLY!
I subscribe to PGI and P8nt. PGI has lots of good articles but the ones that seem to get the most attention from me and are the most interesting are in P8nt. They don't write about the conventional stuff, and it makes for a real good read.
apg and paintball2extremes.
agd you guys should get a magazine on the go.
have like reviews updates of new things.
it would be cool.

I read PGI, I'll buy Facefull whenever I can find it. APG sucks, I'll start reading it the day they publish a review that isn't a lovefest (I mean, these guys will even love a Point Zero)
Well, in the paintball world, I read APG cause I have like a five year subscription.
Other Magazines:
InfoWeek
Canoe and Kayak
Paddler
Electronic Musician
Outside
Outdoor Life
Camping Life
Backpacker
Computer (ACM magazine)
NetworkWorld
Windows2000 Magazine
Potential (IEEE Magazine)
Hmm...thats about all I can remember...I'll have to check the shelf. And yes, I do read atleast one artical in every one of them magazines every month. I also keep quite a few for reference.
I'm subscribed to both APG and PGI. APG has a very newbie slant to it and PGI is aimed more for the tourny player. I usually hand the APG to my kids to read after I gloss through the advirtisements to see the pretty pictures. PGI's reviews are generally better (with the exception of Chris LaSoya, who always puts a biased slant on things). The best reviews I've ever seen have come from Jack Wood at Eclipse, his reviews are always well thoguht out and very thorough. APG's reviews tend to be more simplistic in nature.
