you really only have to oil it about once a month. some people put a drop or 2 into the asa before every time they play.

No. It needs "loving" too. I oil mine before and after each day of play with a few drops of oil in the air line.

I just realized that I had not oiled it in forever. And it works great.

You should lightly lubricate all the orings with a good oil before every day of paintball, also it helps to put 2-4 drops in the closest area to your valve (it could be Q/D, ASA, etc.). Also about once a month during your playing season you should lucricate the piston o-ring and spring pack with an automotive grease, and apply an anti-seize compound on the reg. net threads and your mag should should consistently, straight, and well.

Before every time I play. A few drops in the q/d and a few shots with the barrel off.

If an automag loves oil, I wonder what an autococker do .

I oil my Emag every day I play.
A few drops of oil in the hose, and he's ready to rock.

Dow 33 on my cocker..now actually I recall asking this a while back but cant find it..I was playing and in a pinch I used some Dow 33 on the 'mag, did that hurt it or produce any long-term damage?

I didn't oil my mag for a LONG time, I'm a really lazy person. I figured if it was working, why oil. I finally decided to oil it.
No real point to the story other than my lazyness.

On the subject of Dow-33....Its more like a grease than an oil, so its gonna stay on longer, but not be as slick. The best way to oil a mag is some drops in the ASA, and i dont know how you would do that with Dow-33.

I always put a couple drops of oil in the lil hole thats labeled "oil" before everyday of play.

Not too much though or you end up spitting oil into your barrel for a little while.

I find that if everything isnt lightly oiled my consistancy goes bye bye
