shoot up on rt pro

how much of a shoot up do you get on the rt pro? does it only happen when you shoot long strings? or jus a quick string of paint? how long does it usually last? and does input pressure or anything have an effect on it? any info would be appreciated. thanks!

Almost none at 700 psi a little bit when you go higher.

Shootup happens under rapid fire only. This is because the RT valve charges so fast that it heats the air in the chamber to the point of the valve becoming warm to the touch.

If you don't let the gas in the chamber cool off I presume that shootup can continue until you let off and allow the air in the chamber to cool.

Yup....if you dont give most valves time to fully recharge they usually get shootdown....but theres no way to not fully recharge the RT so it gets shootup

Only problem is u can never be shooting the EXACT same velocity cuz to keep legal u may have to chrony at 285 for slow shots and around 295 for quick ones (On the ultra consistant mag that i wish i had)

well if you cron in at 298, 296, 298, 298 (my numbers from last cron) then your good to go..

if your in the game and your shooting 298 then you sweet spot the RT you go to 310 (I don't know how big of a jump you make) then your still good, cause if the ref thinks your shooting hot, and he crons you in... you'ld cron in back at 298... right?

well when you chrono your supposed to take one shot and hold the trigger then quickly shoot again to get a consistant chrono speed at the max if im not mistaken

but even then it would be the same level... when we cron in we do four slow shoots, if they are good then they are good. People don't believe the RT shoots up, most guns shoot down.

If you cron in with three fully charged shots, you are good to go. They do that with every gun.

but you still are shooting 300fps.. does anyone know the "shoot up" fps? If so, then if you fire a RT cron in at 300fps- the shoot up rate... but if the rest of the field is shooting 300fps I will not drop mine lower then 290fps. Balls don't break as well if you go much lower. Dans Land cron in at 270fps, and if you get tough paint it takes a few more shots to get a break.

Shootup speed

I asked the same question a little over a month ago, and never got a straight answer.

I want to know how much of a difference is there between the slow/cool speed vs the fast/heated up speed.

Depends on your gun.

For me if i was shooting low 260's cold it would get up to mid 270's when i held the trigger back then shot reallly fast
