Hydro problem

I am taking m ACI bulldog to get hydroed tomarrow but they said to take off the reg. I have tried to get that thing off forever and they told me to turn it the oposite way (like a propane tank). I was just wondering if taht was right.

Also how should i take it off the easiest? (keep in mind i dont have many tools)

if the few tanks i have had hydroed are any indication counter-clockwise is the way to unthread. You might need a tank vise to get the proper grip. Most hydro places should have one, call and find out.

I always thought that tanks were opposite threaded, but I've never taken off a reg, so......

Its another scheme by the companies.. They hope we try to take off our regs the wrong way and mess them up, then we ahve o buy a new one.

I think im on to them.
