    emag...

Well guys, I am "<- ->" that close to getting an emag and joining the club!

So I have some questions before I make the final purchase...

1.The curve in the trigger frame signifies that it is an older emag right?

2.I was reading on the emag faq on airgun.com, and read that the emag was capped at 13 bps... I thought it was capped at 16? Is there something I am missing?

3.That curve, why was it changed? Is/was there something wrong with it that was demanded to be "fixed"? Will that be something that I have to modify after the purchase?

4.If my assumption for question one was right, then do the older emags have all the modes of fire? Please name the ones I am missing... hybrid, emode, mechanical, 3-6 shot burst.

5.Is there a new way to switch to mechanical mode? I was reading on pbstar about the "emag/rt" and they said something about taking off the battery and switching to mechanical mode... and then for hybrid you switch it to mechanical while the battery is still intact? Is that still up to date? Will that be what I have to do to switch to mechanical? Or has that been upgraded?

I think that about sums it up... thanks for the info guys!!

3.i think they changed it for the ace system.

4.Newer emags only have 3-6 burst

5.to get to manual you just turn the gun off and have itin M

The curve in the gripframe was cut out only to reduce weight. The other weight saving attempt was to lighten the body rail. It worked but with the advent of the Extreme weight is no longer an issue. Most E-Mags will have the older frame and body rail unless you were lucky enough to purchase a colored one. It has nothing to do with the ACE.

As far as modes of fire you get:
        3/6 shot burst
        Mechanical
        Hybrid
E Mode capped at 16 bps

The best way to switch entirely to manual is to insert the isolator pin and flip the switch from E to M. Thats it.

        Hope this helps
        Chris

They changed the grip to reduce slightly the weight (in fact it's the same one, with just a different milling).
Doesn't change anything other than that.

As someone said the Emag is capped at 16bps. The Xtremes are capped at 20bps.

As usual to go to the mechanical mode you've just to shut off the Emag and make sure you're not in Electro only mode (many choices to do this: insert the yellow pin, remove the battery, use the new on/off switch on the new Xtremes, or forget to reload the battery ).
