Even better, use hockey tape. It wraps well around steel hose.

Did you try to Radioshack for the shrink tubing? They should carry it, if not any electronics store should have heat shrink tubing.

If not I would go with the aforementioned electrical or hockey tape.

            radio shack baby http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...Fid=278%2D1638

ditch the shrink wrap, get some spiral tubing, durable as all get out and easy to put on.

Where are you located? Antartica? =). I dont mean any offense, there has to be an electrical components shop in your area any and I mean ANY electrical shop should sell shrink wrap.

I used to use black shrink wrap from Radio shack, but dont like theirs. Its comes in a package of varying sizes (when I only need one) and they are all cut too short to cover the complete hose. I went to the local electronics compnents shop and bought 3 ft or clear shrink wrap for $1. I love the clear vs the black, it still give the hose that stainless look but protects my battery grip from scratches.

Give it a try, its cheap and looks great.

I used a telephone cord, cut to size and wrapped tight around the hose.

I found 3/8 inch black split flex hose at Ace hardware for .49 a foot. Slides right over SS hose and looks pretty good too. It is in the section where you find the spools of phone and TV bulk cable.
