AGD Lions to Play 5 Man Pro at World Cup

Anybody can play in the pro division if they have the money. I know in Pro 10-man you have to be invited and all that stuff but i'm not sure about 5-man.

I'll be honest I feel that they wont win but will play good. These 5-man pro teams are amazing, THEY ARE PRO!!! Even if you would have played 10 man AM i think you would have got killed even more. I practice with alot of 10-man AM teams and sometimes it is hard for Lockout to beat these guys. The olny reason some of them are still AM is because they havent been let into Pro yet.

Either way best of luck to you guys and I hope you prove me wrong. Use my words as motivation to win and then have me keep my mouth shut forever!!!

Thanks for the support. As far as thoughts of us being in over our heads goes, you'll never know unless you try. Some of us have been playing in the NPPL since it's begining and we have played (and beat) Avalanche, Ironmen, AA's, BC.... over the years. We won the 10 man Am B NPPL series in 99 and won the World Cup that year (all done shooting 'Mag's). Our intention was to do the AM 10-man but didn't have the manpower to do it this time. We do have some solid NPPL experienced players for the 5-man and we'll hold our own with whoever they throw at us.

Sorry but no. Anybody can enter Pro if they have the dough. 10 man too. There are no 10 man Am teams that aren't Pro yet because they haven't been let in.

Of course, right now only two other teams are signed up for Pro 5 man at WC, so AGD might have a pro team in the finals for the first time since god knows when.

They can have all five players next year on their Am team. One pro event doesn't make you pro.

I believe that you have to play in 3 pro events to be considered a pro player. They can field all 5 players next year in the Amatuer class.
