    Looking for a new marker...

Hello. I was looking for a new marker. My current marker is a tippman which is pretty big and doesnt shoot very fast. So I was looking into high end semis that were small and don't need much maintence. So I decided to get a mag. Since cockers you have to time it and all this crap which probably won't be a big deal. So the mini-mag and the automag were my choices. I'm looking at the size of the gun and how much smaller is the mini-mag than the automag? And whats the difference between the micromag and the minimag? Thanks

The minimag is actually a little bigger than the automag. It has a shroud over the barrel and comes with a verticle ASA stock. The micro-mag is has a lighter aluminum body, .45 grip standard, is verticle feed and takes cocker threads. IMO the micro-mag fixes the 2 real flaws with the automag; the wire nubins style ball detent (the Pro-team detent is excelent) and the twist lock (I prefer cheaper barrels and cocker threads are sort of becoming the standard). I love my micro but you do pay alot for style. Any mag is an excelent choice for a high performance, low matainence marker.

    Hope this helps.

Micro Mag is not come from AGD, it's a ProTeam's Product

and if you wanna choose a Mag it's depend how much of the budget that you have?? if you;ve got a higher level you should buy the RT ,but RT has to play with Nitro/HP only they won't work with CO2
for the minimag, it comes with ASA vertical tank adapter and you may need to buy a regulator or an expansion chamber to reduce the pressure which come from tanks

PS all mags are easily to maintainence

          let me spend your money

my opinion, get an automag or get an E-mag. I don't think it is worth the money for a retro valve w/o electronics. Or get a bushmaster because everyone keeps telling me they are great. I like electronic triggers, so just know that I am biased.

Whatever you do DON'T GET A COCKER!!

You'd think timing them would be relativley easy. Not so. Its the biggest pain in the arse! Every problem you 'fix' has the potential to create six more problems!

OK, so mebbe its just me that can't time a 'cocker, but those are my experiences.

Timing a 'cocker shouldn't be that big of a problem as long as you're not 'messing with the 'gun all the time.

From the looks of your M98, it seems like you've been playin' a while, and I guess you'd be OK for a 'cocker, but that's just my impression from your 'gun.

As far as choosing a 'mag, you COULD run it off a CO2 tank, just like the one you've got in the pic. Just make sure that you get either an expansion chamber, an anti-siphon tank, or a remote, or a combination of expansion chamber and anti-siphon.

*NOTE* DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT combine an anti-siphon tank with a remote.

Look in the sale forums here, and you should be able to find a good deal on a 'mag. I find Mine to be very trustworthy, and it shoots well

Save the extra bucks the minimag & micromags cost, and get a powerfeed mag. It's a great gun!

I'm with Skip on this one. Get as powerFeed Mag. The Mini is accauly alittle longer as someone pointed out and the Micro is (IMO) junk (and yes, I own one).

If you want to use that CO2 tank, i'd suggest you towards an Autococker or an Impulse. Mags aren't too great witn CO2.

You can get a good mini mag for cheap, thats if your looking to go to the next step. If you think your ready for the high end guns, the E-mag should be your top choice. Just put it this way, your better off going with the E-mag in the long run cause eventually you'll be at that stage. Might as well cheat a little

Like Monsta said if you want the BIG DAWG get the E-Mag. I like my powerfeed mag just fine. But if you get an AuotMag of any kind, you will have a top quality gun that will last you a long time.
