    has anybody purchased/sold an hpa tank online?

    any legal issues with shipping? any requirements? etc etc etc

    Make sure it's empty. Also, make sure it can equalize with outside pressure if it's going by air. (take off fill nipple or have an ASA on it) If it's just by ground, just make sure it's empty.

      Yes plenty times. Ship em empty of air is the safest choice. If they have an on/off leave it open.

      Legaly they can have up to 30 psi in them if they ship by ground only. But they can have no pressure (at atmospheric pressure) if shipping by air.

      Since you may not be too sure how they will end up traveling when you ship them then empty them and the reciever should fill them with good dry clean Air ASAP to keep moisture out and prevent corrosion internaly.

          Degass it to the point where you can depress the pin with your finger, then depress it with your finger and let even more gas out. Thats how I shipped my tank to mossman.
          I bought it direct from crossfire, so it came empty anyway.
