Need Feedback on Powder Coating ...

For those of you that I ( K&P Customs ) have done powder coating for, I would like to know how you like it. How is it holding up for you? How does it still look? How was it dealing with K&P Customs? How was K&P Customs service? I am looking for some feedback on the powder coating and how I'm doing as a business.

    Thanks you for your time.

Well, umm Ken?...If you re-do (pro bono!) the perfectly crappy job that Eric McBain of SiNs Customs did, then I'll be your #1 fan!

Really. The pics I have seen of your work, have been very welcome in showing the quality of your paint jobs. I have been recommending KP Customs for well over a year now, as often as I can, on nearly all the Pball sites I go to....which are many!

I was interested in getting my mag done (or at least seeing your work) but the kpcustoms page never seems to work properly - all the links give me a 404.

Army.. Well thank you for spreading the work of my work. Being a very small shop ( One-man-shop ) and doing this as a hobby as this point, I'm trying to do the best I can. CustomsPB.com has just offer me there custom milling and powder coating job. I had to turn it down for I did not feel I would be able to give 100% into it. Having a full time job & having K&P Customs as a hobby would limit me to how much time I could give to CustomPB.

Shirow.. Every now & then I get it also ( dang server ) but it comes up. www.kpcustoms.net In the powder coating page. Under the photo on the page, click on the word Powder Coating. It will take you to the photo page of powder coating.

Well. I never did like the " Almost Chrome " color in powder coat. It look to much like silver spray paint. For the almost chrome look we polish the aluminum and then clear coat it. The problem is I have to send it out for polishing. They charge me $45.00 for polishing. So for 2 parts it's $45.00 for polishing and for the powder coating say $15.00.

To powder coat a mag in red to black fade is $25.00 up to 5 parts + $5.00 for the added color. $15.00 stripping fee to remover all anodizing and painted parts. You can save this fee if you do it yourself. We can not match colors on Anodizing. Sorry

To strip off anodizing is $15.00. Translucent Green is $50.00 up to 5 parts but to get the chrome color look, it need to be polished.

                            Ken,

You coated my RT Pro last year. I was the guy with purple to white faded barrels and the purple/magenta fade on various parts and the black bodie. You did a great job and the marker still looks great. Every chance I get I recommend you to other forum members. There are quite few threads on the forum with pictures of my marker in them. You were very easy to deal with and made sure you understood exactly what I wanted before doing anything. I would defintiely do business with you again when the time arises.

2000Sabre, I'm glad you like the way your gun came out. You did have me worried about the color but it looks great when it came together. I glad it's holding up. Thats what I really wanted to know, just how well it holds up to anodizing. Powder Coating is some strong stuff. Thanks for your busniess and I'm glad you like the way it came out.
