    a question for Emag owners

On the field yesterday I was asked an odd question twice I had never gotten before. "What kind of regulator is that?" When I asked "what regulator?" they said "that square thing." I had to explain it was a battery pack.

Has anyone else ever gotten that question?

On another note, while waiting for the whistle on one game when 2 players asked what kind of gun I had, I told them it was an Emag. They seem to have never heard of one. I offered to let them try it. I told them the trigger was very sensative and let them give it a go. Both were impressed, and one of them said "I know what my next gun is going to be." Gotta spread the word...

well, in chile, no one really asked what the battery pack was, they all knew that, but they were all impressed with the trigger on the e-mag, they were all like, wow! hybrid rocks, and retro is really cool too, but my god the electric trigger is god!

With my E-mag, I've been accused of shooting an automatic marker. I've been asked how many rounds does my magazine hold. My E-mag, as it stands in my signature, has been nicknamed "The Beast" at my favorite field, and it is indeed a very aptly named marker. I love my E-mag, Automag marker poularity is on the upswing, just give it more time !

I've had people not have any idea of what my EMag was. "That's a Mag?" "Is that an Angel?"

Actually I'm the only person I've seen at the field with an E-Mag, and I've only seen a couple of regular Mags here.
Kinda sucks that Viral moved to D.C. from here, I'd like to have another Mag watching my back.
Did anyone else notice the total lack of any pic of an E-Mag in the Nov 2002 APG? I looked twice, didn't even see one in a dealer ad....

I just usually get asked what kind of marker it is..

I was the only one at my local field with an emag for the longest time but I recently discovered a guy with one the last time I was there, he was also looking into getting lvl 10. The field owner tried my emag out once and ever since he's been buying mags (not only for himself but to sell in his shop) and is looking into buying an extreme.

Along the same lines, while shooting my ReTroMag w/Warp this weekend, I was asked "Is that an Autococker?" Uhm...NO.

But then later that day I was also asked, "Is that an Uzi?"

I was surprised this weekend at my local field. There was a large turnout of mags. It was cool because the field store doesn't really carry mags. The crowd was small with only about 30 ppl but I saw three e-mags (one a micro-e), an RT, a retro mini, and a micromag.

I had quite a few kids ask me what the warp feed was. That is beginning to be the norm at the field. Only the people who shot mags seemed to know what it was. Most people recognize the e-mag just not the warp.

I have had everything from "what kind of Spyder is that" to "what kind of Autococker is that" to even "Man, you have a sweet angel there, that thing is fast"...

I just chuckle and educate them as best as their limited faculties can handle.
