Most Dye barrels are .688 unless overwise marked (special ordered).

umm... the exact size is .688. DYEs can make in any bore size but the standard size they make is .688.

                nope...

Dye aluminum and Bigshot are basically the same tube with different porting. The Bigshot is a .689 and the DYE is a .688/.689 depending.

                    not really

the batch of paint will vary at least that much from ball to ball, so no you probably dont need both. a decent smallbre is the autospiit, and most stock agd barrels i think are largebore

                      yea but

I still may do it, its nice having 2 barrels, and not having to sqeegee after 1st ball break (switch!). Also, I could use small bores I'm sure at some greater affect w\DYE, and vice versa on large bore with BigShot...

                        couple problems

                        a) its illeagel to take multiple barrels on the field- diff barrels = diff velocity, so you cant bring more than one onto the field.
b/ dyes arent that cheap, so thats kinda a waste of money if you want something a bit smaller, try a j&j ceramic (40$)- it is quiet and accurate
