    macroline trouble...

    hey,

the other day while i was getting ready to go my macroline started to leak...not through the actual hose but at the fittings. how can i fix this?

i have been told that i simply need to oil it, but i cant seem to disconnect the hose from the fitting, when i push in on the hose and pull back out nothing happens...so if any one has any tips on how to stop my leak or on how to get off the marco thatd be a great help...thanks

(i am running co2...unfortunately for the time being)

I've never heard of oiling it, I wouldn't do that before checking with someone who knows first. All you SHOULD need to do is disconnect your air source, then push the fitting in, and pull, that will tighten it. Or, to remove it, push the fitting in, hold the fitting "ring" and pull. Either way should fix your problem.

Cut off the end of the line that the macro fitting is grabbing onto and then push it back in. If you try to take the macroline in and out of the fitting, it will mar the surface and it won't seal properly. You need to keep working at it to get it out. Be sure to hold back on the fitting as much as you can and then pull on the hose as hard as you can.

The glue or putty, might be coming off the fitings, if it is, just get plumbers tape, it's white and can be found in any hardware store. That should do it, if not, maybe you just need to tighten the fitting. I've nothing of oiling a gun.

cut off the end. that should solve your problem unless te oring in the Macro fitting has gone kaput. if thats the case, its much easier toget a new fitting rather than try and find a replacement and ge tit in there

take a knife, cut the line(without air of course), revove macro line with and adj wrench holding the ring down and pulling the line with needle nose pliers, put 2 drops or oil in each macro fitting, remeasure a new peice of macro, measure again....and again, now put it in connect the air dry fire and wiggle the hose around while pushing it in (not the ring) to seat it

the oil is for the orings inside the elbow
