    AKA thread locked :(

I can't believe the thread was closed. I'd like to know which mod did this and why.

I would have never thought I'd see the day at AO truth was LOST out to personal relationships and friendships.

Additionally, I'd like to hear Thordics arguments regarding the following:

How the software is merely "late" when it is in fact over 10 months over due and has been repeatedly been PROMISED in writing (letter that came in the bag when I purchased the Viking) and verbally from last years cup to the IAO and repeated over the phone in to be ready in "two weeks" (or at the IAO - "a few weeks")

How the fact that not having proprietary tools REQUIRED for servicing in stock on a regular basis and the fact that the lack of software means that PUBLICLY ADVERTISED features cannot be unlocked is SIMPLY a matter of me being unsatisfied with the gun and not a problem that affects EVERY OWNER.

The company is fundamentally flawed and your efforts to protect them from justified criticisms is ridiculous.

I'm not saying you don't have a point. I'm saying you have no basis to tell EVERYONE who reads this forum not to buy AKA products.

It's plain and simple. Tell people the facts about the delays, but that does NOT mean they should avoid AKA in entirety.

Should AKA have either A) gotten the updates out, or B) not promised if they couldn't deliver? Yes.

Does that mean no one should buy their products? No.

You seem to think those are equal statements.

I'm not going to bother argueing this anymore.

Nice that you showed up with a valid argument vs. continuing your previous method of trying to pass the matter off as simply an issue of me having a bad experience with my marker.

Had you made this *reasonable* argument earlier - then I could have changed the specific wording of my subject line. Instead, now a stain of censorship and thread hijacking on behalf of friends (Mel from PBX) now hangs over us all. We've all worked hard to build up AO as a place where the only truth is spoken - you and the mod who locked the thread without explanation have degraded that reputation.

To be honest if you had made this argument from the beginning I'd say that you really were interested in making sure the *proper* and fair subject line was associated with the post. Since you used other tactics up front to try to discredit and minimize my valid issues - I say that your friendship with Mel has more to do with this then anything else.
