Doesnt it have to be hydroed before that date? I understood that if is hydroed even a day after its unvalid.

          Not sure for the states...
But employing common sense there'd be no reason for it to be unvalid.
A buddy of mine has a scuba tank And even if it's due for testing, he doesn't have it tested until before he needs the tank...
But that's just Germany (And wow, this is a regulation that actually makes sense - As opposed to not being able to have paintball tanks hydrotested at all)

green LED Display (thanks Have Blue)

te tank must be rehydroed BEFORE 4/03. on 4/1/03 it is no longer allowed ot be filled. once it is hydroed tho, it can be refilled. that is the official DOT / OSHA ruling.

LOL You just said the same thing.. sort of.

It must ONLY be rehydroed before 4/03 IF you want to fill it AFTER 4/03. It can however sit on a shelf for an undetermined amount of time AFTER the hydro date has passed as long as it is not filled. Then you simply have to take it to get hydroed before use again. It is similar to operating an automobile and the inspection process.

Otherwise you could never HAVE a fillable tank since they are made and THEN hydroed after.

kevmaster you contradict yourself. The tank can be filled until 4-11-03. At that point it will need to be hydro tested before it can be filled again. There is no requirement to have it tested before the current test expires.

i was trying to make myself extra clear in my redundancy, but apparently i missed. lol!

anywys, on 4/01/03 you will no longer be allowed to have the tank filled. to have it filled after that date, it must be rehyrdoed. you do not have to get it rehydroed before 4/01/03 so long as you dont want it filled between 4/01/03 and the time it gets hyrdoed

                    hope thats better....lol!
