Not the best day of paintballin'

N2 is no longer availible in my town until january, so no emag usage. so today i broke out the good ole 68. Its been a few months but before i stored it i had it totally lubed, cleaned and everything. I went over it again, made sure everything was fine and brought out the crap that has never been able to properly work in it, co2 =(
Its got a anti syphon tank and a 6 stage expansion chamber so everything should be fine.
Within 30 shots the gun is spitting out chunks of ice, breaking paint like a religion. Im thinking to myself WTF, other people say it works fine, yet my freind nick and i have NEVER been able to run co2 in our mags without freezing, leaking, spitting chunks and breaking paint.
I break out the pro carbine and its velocity wont go above 150. So i run around using that the rest of the day.
Why the hell cant i run co2 on my mag? Is it the temperature outside not getting above 60? Unless its middle of summer, sunny and a bit of luck it never gets above 70 here, mountains never above 60. Right now its 42 degrees during play it was never above 55.
Is there anything i can do to make this work? im creating a new thread about this only because the other ones say that a ex chamber and anti syphon is all you need.

Did you just buy an anti-siphon tank? or did you actually have it assembled for that specific ASA that you have on your mag?

an anti-siphon tank can easily turn into a siphon tank if it's not configured correctly. Most likely, that was the case with your mag, and you were super-charging the valve. I would know, i've done that exact same thing

Why wouldnt your carbine go over 150 though? I have one right now and when its freezing outside I still have a hard time getting it below 290

try an angled bottomline/angled drop forward- helps a lot

if you really want to make it work well, try a stabilizer reg.

Make sure the anti-syphon is setup for the gun you are using it on or it will push liquid into the valve.

I have successfully used a mag in colder than normal weather using just an anti-syphon tank. It worked fine although I couldn't crank out the same rate of fire. It would eventually get shot drop off due to freezing, but no gushes or "chunks of ice".

If you do get it working, just drop the valve into your emag and run it on CO2.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Guy at a shop just told me it was a anti syphon tank and i bought it.
              Setup is like this
kapp dzone 2 with on off perfectly horizontal, runs a macro to the verticle expansion chamber i used as a foregrip, then a steel braid runs it from the vert adapter to the valve.
Falcon i dont know why the Pro C was doing that, its never done that before.
Maybe a spring is warn out or something.
But its frustrating when i have 3 of the most "reliable" guns in paintball and none of them will work correctly on co2.

if you really wanted, you could slap the 68 valve into your e-mag... you know that right? then if you are gunna buy a stabalizer, if you do, you could get the botom line one, or the sideline one, and you would have no problems!!!

Find out what way the tube is pointing. Is there a mark on the valve at all? If its pointing down, its gonna suck lots of liquid :F

Try firing it upside down and see if it does the same thing, or just take the Valve off and line the tube up right, if it isn't.

                      Set it up right

You must screw on your new tank and make a mark on it on the Top of the reg facing UP. Now...that tank will screw back on in the same place every time. You must have the anti-siphon tube installed in the tank facing up to match that tank mark. This way it will pull air not liquid CO2. The guy that sold you that tank just wanted your cash...not your satisfaction. Hope this helps..

i see no mark on the reg, and what is the anti syphon tube?
It just looks like a normal co2 tank to me.
I dont know jack about co2, im a n2 user lol.

Its just a copper or brass tube that gets installed in the center of the valve. It should be bent as far upwards as it can go, almost touching the top of the tank inside.
