AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
the elbow doesn't adjust outwards past a certain point.
it was made when the hopper necks were a little bit smaller than they are now. i can't even sand a hopper down to fit, I can get an adapter from Tippmann though
I'm going through paintball withdrawal, I haven't been able to play since November 2003!
Get a small metal tube that fits inside the elbow and stick the hopper (any old hopper will do) over the tube. Then get a ring clamp and put it on the hopper to tighten it onto there. That's what I did on mine, sorry I don't have any pics. It works great though. Haven't played with it in a LONG time. Maybe I'll remedy that next time out... LOL I can stick the Halo and Nitro tank on there and look at all the funny looks I get.

that is pure genius... and i won't have to call Tippmann.
I've run mine off of my N2 tank, it's a steel tank and my balance was utterly destroyed... but I haven't played at a real field with it yet. only in my backyard. it came with a little old BE 45 round hopper, but those break if you sit on them
Paint job looks good by the way!
thank you

here is my red anno'ed SL 68 while we are showing them off...
It really is my only back up, from a SFL E-Mag, so it doesnt get much use... but when it does, it is THE most high-tech pump available! Running an 88/45 crossfire tank (which is bigger, and WAY heavier then the gun itself!) along with my Halo! It is just kinda funny looking at peoples reactions to it too...
Nice paint on your gun as well!
Hey Zero, how much did that Chipley cost ya?

Check out www.countypaintball.com for a hopper that's designed specifically for the SL-68II and it's narrow feed neck. I had one on mine, and it worked like a charm!
I still have my old Tippman 68 special and that feed neck is similar. I don't have the gun right infront of me , but I'm trying to recall this from memory, and it's pretty tuff to recall since it's been about 12 years now. But we used to use those plumbing plastic or pvc pipe reducers that you can get in most home improvement stores, I believe it was a 3/4 inch to a smaller sized neck, that fits right into the top of the tippman and the loader will fit right into the adapter. When I get off work I can check and measure the bottom part, if you need more info. But if you goto like a home depot they will have em, if you can't score one in black you can always just paint or dye it. - Seabaas
