just don't buy from anyone with negative or no feedback at all. You'll save yourself a headache.

That, and set a limit for yourself, and then bid accordingly. Don't get whipped into the bidding frenzy if/when you get outbid at the last moment.

That, and take everything with a grain of salt. A lot of times prices you see are nothing near prices they actually sell for.

I find that looking at completed auctions is a better measurement of what items are going for.

      CBlackjr,

I buy and sell a lot on e-bay. The main things you need to watch out for like said before are ppl with little or horrible feedback. The other thing is reserve prices, you may see a tank up there for $10 but the the reserve might be $100. It is a waste of time to sit and bid around these items. I just figure out how much I'm willing to spend, put he price in and let the proxy bidding do the work for you. Hope this helps.

I recommend not bidding till the last seconds and having a few windows open ready to up it as fast as you can. I have won a lot of auctions that way. What is the point to bidding a day or even an hour before when you can lose it in the last second or even better win it.

          Use Caution...

To be quite honest, I much prefer buying and selling here on the forums, but I have bought a bunch of stuff from EBAY too. Check my signature for two people to watch out for... I hate to say it, but if they have negative feedback, don't deal with them at all. I thought I would be okay, but one guy is still supposidly(sp?) shipping me my hopper. I had to file a paypal report on him, since you only have 30 days to file with paypal...
