so why do people hate/frown upon 'Mags?

peoaple say they are gay, blah blah blah this and that saying how you could always get something better for the same price. Why? Personaly i like the way it looks and how simple it functions

I guess Utah is the only place on earth where the majority of players respect the Mag (that's coming from a majority of Cocker and Angel users too).

i think he means the hype surrounding cockers, angels, etc. so many people have convinced themselves that cockers shoot farther that they can convince younger or newer players that it's true. hell, even i thought it was true when i first started playing. it wasn't until i took physics in high school that i realized it couldn't possibly be true

Well its personal opinion, but there is some sorta chain that happens. Well my friend's cousin's baby siter's father's uncle's neice's dog had a mag, they said the are crapola. Since mags have been around for a while its had time to spread. Also mags can really look nasty. Some of the aftermarket parts if not most will look awful on a mag, if you dont buy a couple other with the same color scheme. Personally I think that you can get a better gun for the same price as a tricked out mag. Thats more or less what I did, and I got a Bushy. I am quite pleased and I really do like it more than my mag. Sorry

ignorance is still a huge factor in my eyes; the operator of my local pro-shop for instance; I talked to him about 2 months ago and asked him his opinions on Level ten, he goes and says that he never had heard of it and thus probably didn't work well,

well I talked to him yesterday and he just got back from WC, and all he could talk about was the extremes and level ten

Chrome sex. Wasn't cheap, though, was it? I think that's what some people are getting at. Furthermore, some of that stuff is truly custom work, not just slap on. I think that's onw of the best looking mags I've seen here in a while!

AGD got in kind of late on the electro market. They put alot of effort into the RT valve, which is capable of 26 bps, put without an eletronic trigger is nearly impossible to achieve. Enter WDP with all of their marketing power and the awesome firepower of the Angel which is in it's third major revision. Do I think the Angel is better than an E-mag?

No (and I've owned both). But the Angel has had a longer time to establish a market hold. AGD has a lot of catching up to do. The Level 10 is definitely a step in the right direction, but they have an uphill battle, seeing as to how late they got into the electro market. I currently shoot an IR3, which I love more than life...but I've owned 3 mags and loved them as well. I also owned 2 tricked cockers which I've loved.

Paintball is dominated by electronic triggers currently, Tom Kayes pursuit of engineering excellence has delayed AGD's entry into the electro market and AGD is playing catch-up. By the way, if you read this Tom, I love AGD products, but please get rid of the stupid isolator key and put an on/off switch on the E-mag...thank you.

Nubies think that the flashier and more it cost the better it is. I learned that to be false as soon as I got my mag classic instead of that Spyder AMG. Theres this one kid at my field that has already gone through three guns and he is 11 years old. His current setup is followed. Silver bushmaster 2k with kapp drop forwards and a 68/45 fiber rapped tank, rickochet loader, dye sticky grips, dye boomstick, and other crap. The sad part is he has been playing for a month and he sucks major buttocks.

He dises my mag settup because it doesn't have fancy milling or look flashy. Lets just wait till he meets my new friend, Mr. E-Mag! muah ha ha ah ha ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ah ha ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ah ha ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ah ha ah ha ha ha ha ha...

                          I'm better now.

It's not going to cost you an arm and a leg for a 'mag of that caliber. Especially considering the fact that I can come close to electros in ROF, and NEVER chop, and have an extremely reliable gun. Also, none of that is custom work. Factory polished body, ReTro valve, LvL 10, Cp barrel, Omega Rail, benchy milled VA, system x xchamber, system x on/off, intelliframe, intellifed to warp, dye stickies. All available from numerous online stores, although it was expertly built by AO's own Tunaman.
