why do people have to be theifs?

I was playing yesterday and at the end of the day i packed up my stuff locked it in the car and went in to the pro shop to shoot the &^%$ and when i returned to my car the window was smashed. they took every thing including my brand new shandridge f5 (one of the last 3 rich from sandridge made and made specialy for me) and my retro mag. and all my gear. they wiped me out. everone started a pool form me and the raived $200 to go with my $250 so now i have to find a decent gun in the $450 range to shoot till i can save money to get another gun. I'm really heart broken about the f5. but mabe by the time i save enough money again the extremes will be reliced.

It just sucks cause i hadent even put a case through the f5 yet i only had it for like 2 days. and what ever i get for $450 will not even be in the same league as the f5. Why o why do people have to be theifs?!?!?!?!

Because people suck. I'm sorry to hear what happened. Not sure what an f5 is, but it sounds like it might be easy to identify due to being rare?

Your auto insurance might cover it too.

file an insurance claim, police claim, and anything else you can think of. you might be able to get your money or even your stuff back.

              wow

first of all im surprised they broke the windows. did you park far away? i know if someone even tried to TOUCH a car at my field there would instantly be 50 eyes on the person. second not to bash on you im just making an observation but the people who started the pool and contributed were extremely generous. unfortunately even though it is not our fault stuff is stolen you shouldnt expect people to help you out. i think you should feel grateful for that and maybe even send them a thanks or at least tell them next time you see em. right now all i could see doing is filing a police report since you usually have to have the insurance before it happens you cant just apply for stolen paintball gear insurance and then say so where is my money? however if it were me i wouldnt apply for paintball insurance since i am a firm believer in things not happening twice (like jumping in a mortar crater). good luck on finding the bastard all i can do is express my sympathy for you i know how it feels to have something expensive and customized stolen from me.

are there alot of fields in your area? as long as the person wasnt on vacation or something he may be stupid enough to take it to a nearby field. also do you have pics? or at least tell us the colors or any noticable milling or stuff like that.

Man... that friggin sucks mang. I'm really sorry to hear about your stuff being stolen. As said before I'd definatley try to get pics and flyers up at all the fields.. maybe call around and talk to loca field owners.. tell them to keep an eye out. Also.. get a police report. This is why every car I have owned, and ever will own has or will have a theft deterent system (Car Alarm) installed personally by me.. so only I know where the brain box is.

As far as the homeowners insurance goes.. .I don't belive it will cover "loose" articles being stolen from you vehicle. My brother had over 1800$ of stereo equipment stolen out of his car.. in our driveway no less. Guess what homeowners said... well it wasn't "bolted" to the vehivle so it wasn't "secure" and we will not cover it. Auto Insurance said they had no knowledge of it being there..so it's just hearsay. I know thats not what you wanted to hear slipknot.. but I'm just tellin ya like it is.

Spread the word to as many fields you know of and players alike. The best way to recover this is if somebody see's it. You may even wanna keep a look out on Ebay, and yahoo in the auctions section. If you recognize it.. and it's coming from some place local.. bid on it no matter how high the price..then get the authorites involved. Good luck bro..

Like Frausty said, spread the word. The thieves will feel the pressure and return it, or try to sell it and get busted. Call fields around your area and get the word out asap. Sorry to hear your loss bro. Anyone that steals period is a jerk, especially in a community like paintball where we need to stick up for each other, help each other not stab each others in the back by stooping so low as to thieve from one another. Best of luck to you.

                          just as a heads up,

Renters insurance will cover anything in your car at time of break in. It runs under 20 bucks most of the time.

thank you all for your simpathy. I have every contact i can't think of looking or rathier keeping an eye out for my stuff. I filed a police report but they said its not likely that my stuff will be found. I have more faith that some one will see some one shooting my gun as it was very custom. As for the people who started the pool I didn't ask them to and i even tried to refuse their money but they wouldn't have it. I have thanked each one personaly and I am sending them all a thank you letter. Thats what I love about paintball players; they/we are such a tight group that we take care of each other. Thanks again for all your support and simpathy.

That sucks man. Hope you find it. Like everyone else said just let everyone at local fields know what happened and to keep an eye out for it. Also keep an eye out for the sucker trying to sell it online.Frausty, my car along with about 4 others got broken into on the same night and all my stereo equipment along with a whole bunch of school books that were in my backpack was taken and the homeowners insurance covered it all. My sub and amp weren't bolted in but all the wiring was left behind which proved that it was there and luckily I had my car at the bodyshop a few days prior and so they could vouch for it all being in there. It never hurts to try man. Tell your insurance and see what happens.
