I have, on my mag, a dye 10" stainless or a j&j 12". now, when i put my jj barrel on my gun it clicks in really smooth with no effort. when i try to put my dye barrel on it takes me forever to get it on and makes me really irritated. i was wondering what might be the problem. ive taken a shot of the backs of them and was wondering if there is something wrong with my dye

try oiling your barrel o-rings on the DYE. If that doesn't do it, try replacing them and oiling them. I can't think of any other reason why your barrel would have a problem like that.

My friend has the same problem with his dye boomstick. He owns a minimag and we came to the conclusion that the Barrel twist Lock assembly is to high in the body. Very minimal. check if you can bring it down a bit. I forget how he fixed the problem. As soon as he calls me back I will inform you of the fix. Good luck.

I've had the same problem with my dye stainless as well. I think it's something dye does at the factory creates this effect if you look in the twist lock notch you see that it isn't a smooth and that about half way down the notch it has a sharp angle try using a dremel or rotaray tool to smooth out the sharp angle in the notch.Obstacles are what you see when you take your eyes off of your Objective.

my dye ss and boomstick do the same thing. i just used an old screwdriver and jammed the little corner thing in the twist lock down. as far as just getting it into the gun before the twist lock part, just pop it in the fridge or something, the cool temperature causes the orings and the barrel to contract very slightly, but enough to make a noticable difference.
