    Amusing comment (sorta OT)

    Greetings all!
Well my minimag has not arrived yet. (I sent the seller a nasty email today...hopefully that will speed things up)
Despite this, I played a bit on Sunday. As I dislike using rentals I took out my Brass Eagle Marauder and used it with the nitro system and remote I had purchased in anticipation of getting my new gun.

At the staging area one of the other players took note of this rather unusual set up and commented "That's just wrong! Using a 'nitrus' system on a Brass Eagle is like putting a spoiler on a Yugo!"

Note:I'm not a Brass Eagle basher. In fact I feel they have done good things for the hobby by making it accessbile to the mainstream. However I do apreciate humor!

    Cheers,
    "Trench Raider"

I like the humor in that too. My BE armored gloves have worked great for over a year and were a steal at $10.

One of the funny gear stories for me is a local kid. LCD Angel, Freak set, HPA, and a 12v Rev spray painted chrome. It's just funny, cutting edge tech topped with a hopper that looks like it came out of "Sanford & Son."

heh, i get the same thing when i show up at the field toting my raptor (used to use a 68/3k), rev, boomer, rear-cocking delrin bolt, and so on. wicked nice gun though (mine, not yours).

Yeah, my first mask was BE Leader, bought it new for $3.

        It wasn't worth the money.

Sorry, I didn't have anything else and I wanted to post to this thread!

          strange configs

There is a guy at a local field that I play woods ball at that has the most goofy looking setup. He has a stock 98 with a warp on it. I have a warp and love it, but my E-MAg NEEDS it. Putting a warp on a 98 is like running nitrous-oxide on a lawnmower IMHO

What's wrong with running NOS on a lawnmower? I happen to like the way mine runs....

Putting a warp on a 98 is not for speed of loading but LOWER PROFILE!!

                      agreed king....

the biggest advantage of the warp, imho, is the lower profile. its not the faster feeding....

also, ive always beena strong advocate of BE. i love their stuff and feel that it only gets trashed for two reasons:

                      1) people see the "pros" at their field doing it

                      2) the BE markers are mostly bought by newbies (there have been MORE stingrays made than ALL other guns combined) and because the newbies do NOT know how to maintain a marker (for the most part), the break soon. just like 95% of guns made today. if you dont take care of the marker, it WILL break. if angels were given to 100 newbies, i bet they too would break. when the be gun dOES break the player is more advanced and goes out and buys a new gun. this gun, of course, because he knwos how to maintain it, DOESNT break.

sorry, just taking an opportunity to rant about my thougts on BE: http://www.BEOG.org ! w00t! Brass Eagle Power!!
