Because its not usually allowed. I believe the reason was that the NPPL was making select fire boards illegal and going to semi-only. The E-Mag has a jump inside the grip frame that when connected allows 3 and 6 shot bursts and when disconnected they arent available.

I didnt say Electo guns, I said select fire boards. I read this on a board when someone asked a question similiar to yours. This may or may not happen, just something I read.

This thread is turning into a two person conversation. Anyway, a select fire board is one that has different modes of fire such as bursts and full auto.

Believe me 6 round burst is full auto enough. Even with a full auto option I don't think I've evr held the trigger down for 6 rounds. The trigger is fast enough that I've been accused of having full auto on.

See, Chef, there are three people here...

Load is right, MJS did you ever get hit by 6 balls at once? In fact, have you played more then once? And furthermore, YOU'VE ONLY PLAYED ONCE, and you own a spyder compact 2000, YOU'RE NOT GETTING AN EMAG YET! (Yes, I'm allowed to flame him because he's my brother, so don't worry mods )

Full auto is illegal for a reason.

                    mmhmmmmmmm............

Full auto paintball guns are not illegal to own or shoot. The manufacturers came to a mutual agreement to not make full auto guns any longer and limit their products to 13bps. No law, no rule, just a gentlemens agreement. This was to enhance the safety and image of a sport that anyone can play. It also cuts way down on the "wall of paint" that was becoming so prevalent at tourneys.

Personally, I'd like to see the tourneys limit the amount of paint taken onto the field. If some player wants to rain paint in full auto, have at it. After a couple of minutes the shower would be over. Strategy and skill would then come into play.

Will the the tourneys limit paint? Highly doubtful. Too much money is being made off of paint.
