    Aluminum no rise bodies

    is there any way possible for me to get a polished aluminum no rise vert feed classic mag body??? is there such a thing?

    and what about the black "teflon" bodies, are they made out of teflon, and are they any lighter.... and do they make a low/no rise black teflon body

      I don't think they are made out of Teflon, I believe they are Teflon coated.

        for your first question your best bet would be to get a sluggo body and have it milled down and have a low rise put on it.

        and secondly the teflon bodies are only teflon coated.

          You can polish alluminum, but it becomes dull looking. You can polish then add clear anno to keep the polished look. Yes the teflon body is made of teflon....jk... just a coating bro.

            I do not believe they even Teflon them any more. What they are doing now is more akin to "Parkerizing". I think its a technech where they are blackened by emersion into a concentrated Sulfuric Acid solution depositing a Sulfuric Oxide into the surface. Or something like that.

            The new Aluminum bodies will end up practicaly no rise witht he insertion of an Angel Feed tube. Those will be anno'd. People are working on them now as Demo's. My group here at Clemson has two here and are preparing to CNC them. Then they will be posted up for examples.


            AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!
