Tom has absolutely amazed the entire paintball world with what he can do with a small (relatively) company. He is always at events to support his markers, and runs the top paintball forum on the internet. I believe he will continue to wow the paintball world for years to come. He IS the 100% mark, and every day, he raises it.

Sorry, but if Tom can do what he has done up to now, he can do it for a hell of a lot longer...

Considering the restrictions that we give ourselves (68 cal paintballs, 300 fps, etc...) I don't think paintball guns will get much better than the X-Mag with it's lvl10 and ACE.

Unless the amunition changes :) Perhaps Fabrique National will be making paintball guns for us, eh tom? :)

Air Systems have a little bit of room for improvement, but I kinda see a boring future for paintball.

What I"d like to see in the future of paintball is cheaper equipment. Can't wait 'till i can get a case of paint for $10 :) :)

Tom Rules. When I bought my mini 10yrs ago, I thought this was the cat's meow. Tom has proven time after time that he and those working for him, are and will continue to be on the cutting edge of paintball. Whether it be, markers, feed systems or website inovations, he will always remain on top. Where else can you meet and play paintball with the owner of the best marker on the planet. You don't see George Steinbrenner playing with the Yankee' now do you? It's these things, that bring Airgun Designs down to our level, not marketing and certainly not flashy boxes(or plain white ones)

i think that as long as the industry stays as it is now, there is no room for improvement(300fps, 13-14bps, .68 paintballs, etc)

                  yeh, what Joe said

There still can be some improvements that can be done to mags such as making them a little more air efficient (i would like to get about a whole case of paint off of an 68/45 like some lp guns) or make them much quieter (like shockers thoes things are d@mn quiet) and maybe making e-mags have more features to them maybe something like an lcd or something like what the ir3 has such as palm pilot communication for changing features or just checking up on the gun. Just my 2 cents.
set up: Micro e-mag with 32 degree chrome flame drop, Level 10, 88/4500 crossfire, 12 in CP, 32 degree whisper and ARADUS 14in barrel, EVO II.

It's rediculous to say that there is no more room for improvement. Is the X-mag the best? IMO, yes. Could it be improved on? Absolutely. Though the RT valve recharges faster than will ever be needed for semi, it isn't perfectly consistent (not saying it's inconsistent, just imperfect). It is also a little less consistent than a lot of the guns out there.

And then what about the little things that most of us look right past? Things like cheap-o grips, self-resetting shot counters, bulky battery packs, modules that don't work properly with every barrel (could be wrong but I believe this was discovered on Wyn's Xmag), Level 10 degassing issues? All of these (and other) things keep the gun from being perfect.

I look forward to seeing a future model of X-mag with high quality rubber grips, top notch electronics (maybe even some useless-but-cool features), a milled battery pack (thankfully on the way), and all the bugs worked out.

Of course, that's only if we'll let Tom get to work on that, in which case we'll have to live without having him at our beck and call. Idunno...

i have full faith in tom on this one. i think he'll make some crazy *** gun that is a couple cm long and can crank off 90 bps! HA! that would be the best.

when i get my scanner up and running, and have a little more time, im going to start trying to make up body designs for mags. maybe even new stuff that can be put on mags like crazy body rails and so forth.

I'm sure Tom's got all kinds of things up his sleeves. As for how and when they will apply to paintball is anyones guess. I think paintball still has a way to go and Tom's been leading the way for so long it would be foolish to think he has no ideas as to where it's gonna go next
