First Tournament
On Sunday Tremor had its first tournament, a three man. It was at Reamls of Ruin in Illinois. There was one Sup-Air field, and one woods field. No one on our team had ever played Sup-Air.
In our first game our left tape player's gun was shooting hot, (an Impulse) and since he had never used it before, he didn't know how to turn it down. So we had our first ever tournament game one gun down, on Sup-Air, which no one had ever played on before. The guy with no gun got shot out quickly after the break, and then my right tape guy got hit. I managed to get the other team's back player out before I got pinched. We scored 7 points, for one elim.
Second game, all markers worked. Also on Sup-Air, and we got maxed. Right tape shot off break, left tape hit on hopper (a Ricochet, mind you) and then 30 sec after that I got hit in my hopper.
Third game, our last game on the Sup-Air. We tried a different thing, with all guys starting shooting on the break, then running to their bunkers. We loaded the left side with 2 players, and I was in the middle. As the other team went to bunker one of the front players, the other one shot him out. On the break though, there were 2 people in the back center. I didn't know one of them went for a bunker, and got shot out. The other two players don't talk enough, and I spoke to them about that after the game. So I hit the last player in the back center in the hopper, and the lone tape player on that team got hit soon after.
We got the flag pull soon after, and I rained paint on the back center bunker (I thought someone was still in that bunker, because of the bad communication). With 30 seconds left in the game, the guy who pulled the flag saw all 3 players on the sideline, eliminated. He sprinted to the flag station, and we won, and got 100 points.
The next three games were in the wooded feild, and we got maxed on all those, although we could have done better in at least two of them.
I thought we did pretty good, for being the youngest team there, with no tourney experience. We actually tied for 14th out of 19.
We had a lot of fun, and we are planning on doing other tournaments.
