Got an emag question

I just tried my emag for the first time today and it was dead accurate, but with the stock barrel it sounds just like the tippmans at the field. Is that mainly because there isnt any holes down the barrel to port out the excess air?

I am thinking of getting a freak barrel for it. Would that cut down the noise a bit?
