Thanks all for the great chat party! It was great to see Shatner take time out of his busy schedule to spend it with us little people... even though it was just to say "buy the DVD at www.williamshatner.com" :) Seriously though, I really did enjoy my first AO chat Party. I even had the chance to give away some old pods I had lying around the house. Mysticmag won! Congrats!

BTW I WON THE SHATNER VHS okay, so it's VHS
I'm thinking about buying the DVD and passing the VHS on for AO members to share. It all depends.....

Thanks once again TK, WS and Lepordhead for the great prizes.

See ya at the next one......

I hadn't planned on being there, my class doesn't normaly let out till 9pm. We took a break at about 7:30 and the professor gave us the "option" of comming back. I don't think I was the only one that didn't come back. :)

So got on kinda late, and didn't expect to win anything, just wnated to see this chat party thing. Back in the day (dozen years ago) when Bill and Dawn Mills would get Glenn Palmer online, there were far fewer folks that were computer litereate enough to chat. we still ahd the dorks that tried takeing over or nickname chang-bombs etc.

That was nothing like last night. When the moderator was turned off and everyone started floodingthe channel, what a site to behold. hehehehee. and to take a website down in only a couple seconds (upon invitation) - that was kewler. I checked later and there was only a couple people that even got to post before it died.

Anyway, as I was saying... I didn't expect to win anything and I didn't. However, a AO member that was on, saw my "./me could use a WF" message and /msg'ed me saying that tehy were going to give me one anyway! woohoo!! So, though I didn't "win" anything, I still came away with a new Warp Feed! Thanks!

and remember - "Paintball is FUN!!!"

Congrats to all the winners, yes it was a little hectic, infact I had to leave early because my right eye was starting to bug out.

All in all it was fun.

Yea, the actually party was really laggy...I'm sick of the letter "J" now.

But I had a fun time in a smaller chat with some other fellow AOers. Nice to actually be able to chat..not just read. I had a fun time there, were we really didn't care about the prizes (Well, of course we did!! But no being immature about it), and just talked.

Well Omni set a new trend. First AGD and Shatner gave out some prizes. then Omni, then some people started to chip in odds and ends, like stickers, a 9 oz. a barrel, and a cocker with air. TK brings out the spirit in us, and then the people make AO worth being here.

The warp that someone gave to me (not AGD), was done in the middle of the "j's" (you know what I menat if you were there), durring a PM.

                              Great

Have to agree great party. I won a Shatner Ball DVD. Can't wait to see it. Have to say when Tom actualy anouced my name I couldn't really believe it. I know it wasnt the emag but it was the first prize given away and I didn't really expect to win anything so I sure was happy. Again great party can't wait for the next one.

                              Thanks Tom!

                                Too Many People

I stopped in for a little while, but did not enjoy the experience. Honestly, there were too many people. Before you could half read a sentence it was whisked off the screen by often inane comments.

The only real solution is to limit the number of people in a chatroom. Of course, then you are going to have a block of rooms and any special guests, like Mr. Shatner, would have to cascade (be visible) through them all or visit each individually.

Did not get a chance to ask Shatner a question that had come to mind. Watched "Kingdom of the Spiders" the night before, just to have fodder. Wanted to query the gent if he was bitten during that movie, because there is one spot where I am 90% sure he was - and they left it in the finished film.

When you get that much traffic, a forum is a better solution.
