In case anyone who knows about rainmakers posts here...

Now I've discovered that my ram mount is stuck in the gun. Stuck REAL bad. It won't come out no matter what I do or how hard I pull. And yes, I took the retaining screw out.

I'm probably going to send the gun off to MadMarty for Mods 1-5 and let him worry about getting the thing out since he needs to get it off to do the mods I had planned on getting them done anyway.

I got it off, I found the secret to getting the ram mount off.

You need to slide an allen wrench through the hole in the end of the ram, and turn it like you are tightening the ram. The ram mount should start to spin, grudgingly. Then you can start to pull, and it'll come out.

It seems like everything on this gun likes to bind I think I'm going to get some use out of my collection of greases and lubricants keeping this thing from sticking to itself.

You Won't, and they don't have a prob w/ bolt stick.

Does it need oil? I heard those things need oil like an old Ford pickup truck.

and just what are you trying to imply here?

                    hehe, j/k

I wouldn't go bashing the rainmaker.

cphil its sorta funny how you said $100 electro. These things were around $400 when they first came out. I've heard they're good guns when they're up and running.

I've also heard the automag chops paint, is innacurate, and is a horrible gas hog...

I think they were $499. The reason they are $99 now is because they are officially discontinued. Brass Eagle hasn't manufactured any new ones is years, but as of now they won't be making any parts for them, etc.

You know, without Brass Eagle, many of todays players wouldn't have been able to get into paintball. Do their products lack the finesse of other brands? Maybe, but they're also relatively decent. Don't bash BE because it's the "cool" thing to do, because the next person to eliminate you could be using one.
