Any one else play 3 mans?

well, i played 2 3 man tournys this year, and i must say, that was an odd experience. the time limit for a game was a mere 4 minutes. all the regular tourny rules, except the count down for the break was very odd. the ref would say "mark", then he could say go anytime within 10 seconds, it was different everytime. i found that odd.

That's a very wierd, and in my opinion, bad way to do it. The 4 minutes isn't too bad but I think they should always have an accurate countdown.

Yea, I've been to a few 3-mans. Fun stuff, but the countdowns were lame

My only tournament so far was a 3 man

it rocked, mostly the games were under a minute though , very fast paced, usually no backplayers and the action was intense

that start is not a common way to do things....

anyways, 4 mins is longer than most of my 3 man games last...oh well

Thats some whack rule you have there. I played one 3man and the ref would yell "mark", then we had ten seconds till start. The rule you mention just doesn't make sense. I would start right when the ref yelled mark.

i am on a 3 man team actually...havent played a tourny yet..seeing as how not many 3 mans are around here...

They do the go anytime between 10 seconds mainly to prevent false starts. Thats why I set my timer for 5 seconds not 10.

They started out games like that at this year's IAO. Our first game the other team didn't know about that rule and he called go almost right after he said mark and we shto 3 of their 5 on the break!!

Skybll has the mark then countdown.. but they start on second buzzer at end of countdown.. Your palying some strange rules my friend.

in my area it's the only tourneys we have so i'm used to it by know.
