There is a good Rule at CC pball, if there is little kids or rentals on the field then the ref will ask if we want to bunker, and if there is 1 person who says no then we use the knock knock rule. Bascilly u knock on the other side of the bunker and that player is out

At my feild, there is a 10ft rule, unless you know the player...

If you know the player, then they have been around for a while and know what to expect.

Sunday, a guy I play with tried to bunker me came down the hill shooting up my bunker, started to come around it (so he could keep running) and i popped out the top just before he could. he figured, "I'll give him the option. I can bunker him, or he can pop out... thats an option right?"

On me, that was fine, but he knew who was in the bunker before trying it...

        -Booyah

p.s. Oh yeah, I did light his bum up so be careful bunkering...

During rec, I usually offer a surrender if the person I'm coming for is new to the sport. However, if the opponent is at east a semi-seasoned player, I won't ask for a surrender...just play out the move.

I bunker a a lot, more than anyone else at my local field, people have actually come to expect me to bunker em, I've been bunkering long enough to gain quite a bit of self control, and if I don't know the player, I'll aim for there shoes or hopper, but I usually know most of the guys on my field, and I bunker em.

I think bunkering is part of the game. I agree with the surrender rules if they are an option but they are just that an option. If I do not have a clear advantage a surrender is not offered.

im nursing 4 bunker welts on my back right now.
i try not to bunker newbies but if they have any thing better then a rental the its free game. i also tend to shoot the newer one just once because the real good ones need like 2-4 to make sure they dont turn on you.

My first rule is: do unto others before they do unto you

My second rule is: don't bunker someone if it is their first time. If they have played a little then it is ok to bunker as long as the field allows it.

I do bunker in those times only if the rules have been set and told to everybody. If everybody knows they can be shot from 1 or 2 feet that is ok, if not, i don`t.

If you were allowed to bunker, I'd bunker. If not, I wouldnt. You should know the rules if your a ref on the field.

BTW - You wouldn't happen to be playing at Candia would you?

There is a courtesy surrender rule. We say that if you sneak up on someone and they have no idea you are there, you should ask for a surrender. Bunkering isnt exactly a move where you have time to ask for a surrender but I didnt want to get anyone mad because I dont know how they would react. If it was one of my friends behind the bunker, you better believe I would have bunkered them. I dont know how people will react, I've seen someone people get irrate while others shake hands with the person who did it after the game. Also, I play/ref at Canobie Paintball in Windham, NH. I have played at Candia once though.

where I play we have a bunker tag rule for rec play. Basically it ends up that you perform your bunkering manouver and insted of going over the top you slap the bunker or hut that is in front of you. This eliminates all players behind the bunker or inside the hut. You still scare the bejeezus out of people but no one gets hurt. I really enjoy doing it on the tin bunkers we have on one of our fields. Just run up and give it a swift kick. This is for rec days and the newbie groups. It's just safer that way. But in our open days it's full out no rules. Makes the game a bit more fun.

My general rule is if you're wearing a jersey, you're fair game. I'll also bunker anyone blind-firing after a first warning, or blatantly cheating.

If it's a scenario game I almost never bunker. During a sppedball game it depends. First off I am huge and slow so I usually supply the covering fire. For me to bunker someone they would most likely have to be dead.

But, if given the chance I have to look at the way the person is playing. If they are being hesitant and stay behind the bunker alot they are most likely a newbie so I'll refrain from bunkering. On the other hand, if they are snapshooting very well and being very active I can tell that they are more experienced and would be less likely to go off if bunkered.
Return to the free market. Get rid of all government regulations and let society make it's own decisions. Time and again the relaxing of government regulations has increased profits, innovation and the economy.
