    Pain

Have you ever noticed how much pain from being shot has effected the outcome of a game? If there was no pain in paintball wouldnt we all be pulling off crazy moves to win games? I saw such a crazy move at a local tournament. One poor guy was the last guy left on his team while the other team had all their players(yes weve all been there at least once so you know how it feels), he needed a flag pull to take second in the tourney and made a mad rush for the flag. He pulled it but ten seconds later got bunkered. The other team had no clue some one would make a move like that so they were caught completely off guard. Goes to show that how players cope with pain can make a huge difference. God I'm bored........

i dont think its paint that prevents crazy moves...its knowing that a crazy move means youll be out and therefore wont be playing...and therefoer youre team will lose...at least thats what happens to my team when i get out

I mainly play 10 man, If i do a run through when its 10 on 10 and shoot 4, and then its 9 vs 6 putting us in a much better position.

I find it highly unlikely that you can eliminate four of their players doing a "suicide run". Maybe 2, but 4 is a stretch imo. Unless they don't have a back player or two or three or four, then you'd be ok. Just what I think though, hey, maybe it's possible, however unlikely.

I think the first two ppl kinda missed the point of the thread. Its not a complaint about paintball involving pain its about players who deal with pain.

                speaking of which

the best crazy move to do is just keeping your gun with a team mate and just running around crazily. most of the time the other team kinda stops what theyre doing. either that or laugh their asses off. oh and paintballs can definitely hurt. but if they break like theyre supposed too they usually dont. i was shot in the back leg about 4 times but didnt notice until the ref told me i was out. thats cause all the paint splattered nicely. then theres the times when the paint doesnt break and i dont care who you are if something is going 300 FPS and hits your skin its gonna hurt. whether youre 90 pounds or even 350 (like my friend. good story ill tell you later) you cant say something didnt "hurt" when it creates a welt on your skin.

and yea what boss_automager said. its how you deal with it. but itll still hurt

i am also used to being shot and the pain doesnt really affect me anymore.(i play at badlandz too, lol)i think its more a fear of being eliminated in my case. in a few instances where i had insane amounts of adrenalin flowing through my body in tight cituations i have been shot out and didnt even know it. no im not just sayin this as an excuse for playing on. i honestly didnt know i got shot in the legs from all the yelling and intensity going on around me at the time. a ref had to tell me i was out.

when the weather gets warm, i usually just go out in a short sleved t shirt. some people think that i am nuts, and ask if it hurts getting hit, but the pain makes playin kinda fun, i guess that i am a little of a masochist.

badlands is a nice place in the summer, ccp in the winter.
As society and the problems that face it become more and more complex and machines become more and more intelligent, people will let machines make more of their decisions for them, simply because machine-made decisions will bring better results than man-made ones. Eventually a stage may be reached at which the decisions necessary to keep the system running will be so complex that human beings will be incapable of making them intelligently. At that stage the machines will be in effective control. People won't be able to just turn the machines off, because they will be so dependent on them that turning them off would amount to suicide

ya pain is kind of secondary now. The only places it hurts to get hit is in the collar bone, sturnum(?), fingers and basicly anyplace boney. Although the only thing i am really SCARED about is my whodaddilywhoddles... you know my "hows it going" and not to mention jubblies.

I don't even think about the pain of getting hit anymore, I usually just wear an undershirt, then my jersey. Then either some shorts and knee pads or some paintball pants.

first most painfull shot i have ever took was in the nipple, still have a scar there.

2nd most painfull shot, the tait. dove into a bunker sideways, with my legs spread. someone came around and bunkered me and shot between my legs.

i wear elbow and kneepads, because it helps with the landings. as i dive into bunkers.

Funny bone...just nasty! Your hand opens right up, involuntary reaction, if you had you marker in that hand... it's now on the ground. I had that happen to me, I dropped my old vm68 and broke the barrel right off of it. Needless to say, i was not amused....
